This week, which sees the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, Plantronics, Inc. (“Poly” – formerly Plantronics and Polycom) celebrates its pivotal role in the historic event. On 21st July 1969, at 02:56:15 UTC, the first words of Commander Neil Armstrong as he stepped onto the moon were transmitted through his Plantronics MS50 headset: “That’s one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Ingram Micro Expands Poly Coverage Across EMEA (Aug 13, 2019)
Ingram Micro today has opened trading across EMEA for Plantronics, Inc. (“Poly”) (NYSE: PLT), a global communications company that powers meaningful human connection and collaboration.
Poly is the new company name for Plantronics, which acquired Polycom in the middle of 2018. Following that acquisition, and leveraging its specialization in both Plantronics and Polycom across several countries, Ingram Micro won the bid to become one of the regional distributors of Poly.
